How to make Banana Fritters. Ethakkappam/Pazham Pori
Ingredients
1) Ripe Plantain – 3 nos.
2) Maida Flour( All purpose flour)- ½ cup
3) Rice flour – 3 table spoon
4) Salt – 2 pinch
5) Water or Milk- As required
6) Cardamom - 2-3nos.( Crushed/powder)
7) Sugar ( optional) – 1 table spoon( if the plantain is not ripe enough)
8) Oil – for deep frying
Method
Remove the skin of the banana and cut in to required shape and size. Take a bowl mix maida, rice flour, cardamom powder, sugar and salt using fresh milk or water to make a thick batter( this batter should cover the banana well)

Heat oil in a pan and dip each banana pieces in to the batter then deep fry until light golden brown in medium heat (both sides) .Drain the excesses oil using kitchen towels.
