Yam Mezhukkupuratty(chena)

How to make Yam (Chena Mezhukkupuratti)


1) Yam ( Chena) – 250 Gm
2) Turmeric Powder – ½ teaspoon
3) Crushed pepper corns – ½ table spoon
4) Salt - to taste
5) Curry leaves – as required
6) Oil – 1-2 table spoon


Skin off the yam and cut it into small pieces. Mix yam, crushed pepper, turmeric powder, sufficient salt and little water then cook until it done. Heat oil in a pan and add the cooked yam then mix it gently until dry.
