Hash Brown ( A North American dish)
Hash browns is a simple potato preparation in which potato pieces are pan-fried after being grated.
1 large potato peeled
Salt – as required
pepper powder- 1 tsp.
1-2 table spoon cooking oil
Grate the potatoes. Squeeze any water out of them . Add salt & pepper (or any other seasoning as of your choice) and mix well.
Heat 1 table spoon of oil on a flat plan / (preferably nonstick). Directly add the grated potatoes in to the pan spreading it out. Let it cook on medium heat on one side for about 5 minutes. Very gently flip it over and cook again.
If the potatoes are stuck and aren’t lifting out, add a few teaspoons of oil and let it cook for a further 2 minutes.
