King Fish Coconut curry


How to make kerala coconut Fish curry

Ingredients

1) Fish – ½ kg What ever is available to you( I used King fish)
2) Grated Coconut – 1 cup
3) Water – 2 cups ( As required)
4) Green chilly – 3 nos.( Slit in center)
5) Ginger – 1 ½” piece( chopped)
6) Garlic – 2 no.
7) Shallots – 6 nos.( Chopped)
8) Tomato – 1 no ( medium sized- chopped)
9) Kudam puzhi( kukum star)- 2 small piece
10) Turmeric powder- ¼ teaspoon
11) Chilly powder – 2 1/2 teaspoon
12) Coriander powder – 3 teaspoon
13) Muriggakka ( vegetable drumstick)- 4-5 pieces( optional)
14) Salt – to taste
15) Curry leaves – As required

Method

Grind the coconut in a mixer along with water, half of ginger, half of shallots, half of garlic, chilly powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Grind until a paste but still little chunky.

Soak the kudam puzhi in luke warm water for about 30 minutes. Take a manchatty (earthenware pot) then add grinded coconut mixture along with chopped balance ginger, shallots, green chilly and soaked kudam puzhi with water and salt. Brig to boil then add cleaned fish pieces, chopped tomato, chopped green chilly & Vegetable drum stick then cook again for about 8-10 minutes until the fish is cooked well. (Maintain the consistency of heat – medium slow fire) Do a taste and adjust the salt accordingly. Do a seasoning with shallots (optional)

    Thank u for pointing about keral.com's indecentful job..I will put a complaint against them..Actually I was out of this blogosphere as a part of my weight reduction and I am halfway succeeded in that..I will come back soon with full energy..
