How to make onion uthappam
Ingredients
1) Dosa /Idly batter – As required
2) Onion – 1 no.( Finely chopped)
3) Green chilly – 2-3 nos. ( Finely chopped)
4) Coriander leaves – 1 table spoon ( chopped)
5) Ginger – 1 small piece ( chopped)
6) Tomato – ½ piece ( chopped-Optional)
7) Salt – to taste
Method
Mix onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger, tomato pieces and salt in a bowl and keep aside.

Method
Mix onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger, tomato pieces and salt in a bowl and keep aside.
Heat a non stick pan in a medium flame then add ½ cup of dosa batter in the center of the nonstick pan then spread in to a thick round. Sprinkle the onion mixture on the top of the dosa add a little oil on the top and side (optional). Let cook for a few seconds till the bottom has slightly golden brown then flip the dosa and cook again few seconds.
Your Onion uthappam is ready. Serve hot with coconut chutney, onion chutney or tomato chutney.
