Chilly Baji/Italian pepper fry
How to make Chilly baji( Italian Pepper)
Ingredients
1) Italian pepper – 5
2) Chick pea flour/Besan – 4 -5 table spoon.
3) Asafetida – 2 pinch
4) Salt - to taste
5) Red Chilly powder – 1 teaspoon ( according to your tolerance level)
6) Water – As needed
7) Oil – For frying
Method
Mix the ingredients 2-6 to form a thick batter (It shouldn’t be too thick nor too thin.)
Make slit on the chilly and remove the seeds / or split the chilly in to two portions, dip the chilies in the batter for a covering then deep fry the chilly bajji in hot oil on medium heat till the chilly baji’s turn into golden brown colour. Serve hot with ketchup.
